About the Role

The Karta Initiative is looking for someone who is passionate, energetic, sensitive towards ground realities, understands the interplay of multiple vulnerabilities and their impact on academic performance, career choices and life choices of the youth in remote rural areas of India, loves to work with youth (14-22 year olds) and is open for extensive travel for about 150 days in a year - this person would be responsible for Karta's work in about 2-3 states.

This role would involve handling a team of about 3-5 fellows on the ground, 3-5 interns (based out of Delhi office) and about 50 volunteers (spread across the country).

This person would be responsible to engage with about 400 students annually. This role also requires complex stakeholder management - youth, parents, communities, teachers, principals, bureaucracy, corporates, premiere universities (India, UK, Canada), academicians, educators, and civil society organisations.

Further, we are looking towards organization building, so we would prefer someone who is ready to commit a good amount of time to the organisation and work towards growing the organisation. The position is based out of Delhi.
